About Patrick HaggertyA 30 plus year Washington, DC political and journalism veteran, Haggerty informs and entertains audiences with his political punditry and insights on successful legislative citizen grassroots advocacy, political candidates and election analysis. Pat has spoken to associations and corporations in 40 states and Washington, DC. All of Pat's programs include copious amounts of patriotism and current bi-partisan political humor which engages the audience and makes the messages more enduring.
Displaying his delightfully disrespectful Irish humor, Haggerty says that his many years in Washington, D.C. have taught him that . . . "The Difference between the Boy Scouts and elected officials is that the Boy Scouts have Adult Leadership." A journalist and raconteur, Haggerty covers Congress, the White House and the federal agencies. Haggerty's career includes being the Press Secretary for two members of Congress, an Advanceman for a U.S. Senate campaign, an advisor to four presidential campaigns and the CEO of a trade association. He has seen everything that works, and what doesn’t, in the media, political and legislative arenas. Pat's communication and political experience also includes being a guest several times on the Larry King Show, working as the Washington, DC political news consultant to ABC's Good Morning America and as a legislative seminar speaker for Congressional Quarterly Magazine. Pat has a Journalism degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis/St. Paul and worked at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune while earning that degree. |
Pat's TopicsGrassroots Advocacy
Your audience learns the very high value and ease of a 12 month commitment to citizen legislative advocacy. This program is especially good for “Legislative Days” in your state capitol or here in Washington, DC. Election Analysis
An "inside the Beltway" look a how/why Democrats became the majority party in the House and a look ahead to the 2020 Presidential election. This upbeat and humor laden look at elections and the political process is a good stand alone Keynote Speech, workshop or in combination with another topic. PAC Development
Contributing to candidates who share your philosophy of governance is as fundamental to democracy as voting while puting people in office who understand your agenda. This program empowers people to become enthusiastic PAC contributors and participants. Leadership
Average Americans making positive inputs each day at the office, at school, at church and other places provide the leadership that keeps this country great. Current Political Humor
All the humor used is current to what's in the news TODAY. I'm an equal opportunity abuser, I tell jokes about everyone who deserves it without regard to party affiliation. In order to never offend anyone, my humor is always based on bad decisions, not on things people don't choose such gender, race, etc. Lava Lamp Story
A warm and wonderful story of the opportunity all American’s enjoy and the GREATNESS of America's political and economic system. |
Political humor funnier than Mark Russell but with a message and without a piano.
